BMC’s Blog Tracking Progress of Second St. Ayles Skiff

Our students have been working hard on the second St. Ayles Skiff! Check out their progress at BMC’s blog highlighting the two skiffs being built for Erie’s inaugural Community Rowing Program.    


The 9th plank was installed on the 2nd St. Ayles Skiff this week!

The second St. Ayles Skiff is well underway at BMC. You can follow the progress on the SKIFF CONSTRUCTION BLOG being written by the students.   On Fridays the student boatbuilders update their Blog that documents their building experience.


The Erie Boat Featured in Wooden Boat Magazine

The Erie Boat, built by over 1000 Erie school students at the Bayfront Maritime Center, has been added to Wooden Boat Magazines Registry of Wooden Boats—HUZZAH! It was built by over 1,000 school students, from 5th grade-12th grade, 1999-2001  


BMC Youth Working on San Francisco Pelican

High School students are learning to apply Science, Math, Technology, and Engineering (STEM) skills while building a San Francisco Pelican sailboat in BMC’s boatshop.
