How It All Began

BMC began operating in May 1998 and have worked with over 19,000 area youth and adults to create positive learning experiences through sailing, building boats, studying navigation, and having fun on beautiful Presque Isle Bay and Lake Erie.

Governor's Award

2001

2001 Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Excellence in Environmental Education for Environmental Rediscoveries Program.

Moved to Our New Facility

2003

Thanks to the State of Pennsylvania for funding our modern, state-of-the-art building located near Lake Erie on Presque Isle Bay.

Making a Difference Award

2012

BMC’s Amy and Rich Eisenberg won the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcaster’s 2012 Lew and Janet Klein Making a Difference Award.

U.S. Sailing Robie Pierce Trophy

2018

BMC EASE Program and Program Directors Kathy and Bren Lindell honored with U.S. Sailing Robie Pierce Trophy recognizing outstanding Adaptive Sailing Program and Contribution to Public Access to Sailing for those with Disabilities.
