It is time to start planning your cardboard boat! Use your imagination to construct a boat made entirely from cardboard, tape, paint and glue, and then paddle it around a 200 yard course in the East Canal Basin on Erie’s Bayfront and see if you can win a prize for Most Creative, Fastest Time, Crowd Favorite… or at least Most Dramatic Sinking!
There are three age divisions: Adult, Teen (12-18 years old) and Kid’s Crew (under 12 years old.) We have several youth groups who would like to participate but are looking for sponsors. Your donation of $50 will allow these kids to join the fun and learn first-hand the excitement of creating and powering their own boat!
